Who is PEP?

The Pet Education Partnership is a collaborative initiative between the UK’s leading animal welfare organisations: PDSA, RSPCA, Blue Cross, Cats Protection, Dogs Trust, Woodgreen, USPCA and SSPCA. Our shared vision is to make animal welfare education accessible to every child aged between 5 and 11 in the UK, with the ultimate goal of incorporating it into the curriculum.

Scottish SPCA

Scottish SPCA

The Scottish SPCA is delighted to be a part of the Pet Education Partnership. Our vision is that every animal has a good life and every person embraces the joy and value animals add to our lives, and recognises they have feelings and needs which should be met. Through our Animal WISE education programme we want to challenge young people to become wise about animals and increase their knowledge with the aim of reducing the effects of accidental injury and neglect and therefore safeguarding animal welfare.

USPCA

The USPCA team are really proud to be part of this important and groundbreaking Pet Education Partnership. The aim of the USPCA is to have a society where all animals are respected and free of unnecessary suffering. We are so pleased that this partnership with the other key animal welfare charities from across the UK will help us provide an opportunity to reach more educators, and many more young people than we have been able to previously. This can only serve to improve society’s understanding of animal welfare, and help us to encourage and inspire the next generation to carry on this vital work.
